The Silk Bridge Team is a real estate team at eXp Realty, serving clients in New York and New Jersey. This policy explains what information we collect through our website (thesilkbridgeteam.com) and our Client Portal (portal.thesilkbridgeteam.com), how we use it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Contact details you give us: your name, email address and phone number, and those of anyone buying with you.
- Your home search: neighborhoods, the kind of home you want, your budget and financing preferences, your schedule for tours, and any notes you share.
- What you do in the Client Portal: homes you like, pass on or shortlist, your comments, tour requests, and documents you upload.
- Sign-in information: if you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google. If you sign in with an emailed link, we receive your email address. We never see your Google password.
- Basic technical information, such as your browser type, used to keep the portal working and secure.
How we use it
- To find and show you homes that fit your search, and to compare costs for you.
- To contact you by email, phone, text message or WhatsApp about your search, tours, offers and transactions.
- To schedule showings and communicate with listing agents on your behalf.
- To keep records our brokerage and the law require.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
- Listing agents, attorneys, lenders, management companies and others involved in your search or transaction, only as needed to help you.
- eXp Realty, our brokerage, as required for compliance and record keeping.
- Service providers that run our tools: Google (sign-in, data storage, email and calendar), Cloudflare (website hosting) and Sendblue (text messaging). They may use your information only to provide their services to us.
- When the law requires it.
Google sign-in
If you choose Continue with Google, we use only your name, email address and profile picture to create and secure your portal account. We do not access your Gmail, calendar, contacts or files, and we do not share this information except as described in this policy. Our use of information received from Google follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Text messages
If you give us your phone number, we may text you about your home search. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while we are working together and afterward for as long as our brokerage and the law require. You can ask us to delete your portal account at any time.
Security
Your portal is private to you and our team. Access requires sign-in, and your information is stored with Google Cloud services that encrypt data in transit and at rest. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or to stop emails or texts, by contacting us below.
Children
Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
If we update this policy, we will post the new version here with a new effective date.
